No one knows for sure how the universe and all it contains was created.
There is no shortage of people who believe for certain they know such answers and that they are right and all other systems of beliefs are wrong. All claims made on this website, though written with conviction, are merely my beliefs.
(with a chance that I am right and you are wrong) ;)

The Earth Challenge
Our world is nothing more than a game created and played by those we would regard as supernatural. They are the Players. They have powers to influence every aspect of our world. They receive some kind of reward when they successfully complete Challenges. Since we don't know what those rewards are, we call them points.
For a deeper look into how this game is played, see the article, "The Earth Challenge - Playing the Game."

This is the central paradox of existence under MEGAGOD.
Nothing is Real: If we are sophisticated constructs within a virtual reality, then we are not fundamentally real. Our world is made of code, not original matter, making us complex Non-Player Characters (NPCs) dependent on the Creators (MEGA).
Everything is Real: However, the simulation's technology is so advanced that it generates genuine consciousness and sentience. The pain, joy, and complex thoughts we experience are completely authentic and valid to us. Within the code's boundaries, our lives are experientially real. The simulated is, effectively, the authentic.

There are multiple Players, though whether 2 or 2 million, no one knows. They compete against each other seeking certain specific outcomes on this planet.
There is no loving creator which seeks the greater good of those living on the earth. There is only competition. Though Players don't love us, they do have favorites for which they might have a fondness. (kind of like when I watch "The Price is Right." I have my favorites, those who I want to see excel, but I don't LOVE them)

This has so many possibilities. Perhaps Players can:

We are created using advanced computer programming developed by the Players. This programming shows up to us as DNA.
Human beings contain traits from both parents, in addition to those possibly added by Players in the process of the game.

Included in the DNA, in the programming of all humans, is the drive to seek after a divine being which created and maintains all life.
That's why we have religion. It doesn't matter how kooky or illogical a religion might seem to others, members will often believe no matter what because we are programmed that way!
The images above are all from different, popular video games except for one. From what game is each image?
1. It's All a Game
2. Nothing is Real & Everything is Real
3. Players, aka GOD
4. Power of the Players
5. Humans, aka Pawns
6. Divine Inclination
Quiz - Images on Beliefs page (pdf)
DownloadGod - (a capital G with lowercase o and d)
The traditional, supernatural deity who has been defined in many ways by many people. Those who believe in God, believe in their version of God with many claiming to be right and all others wrong.
GOD - (all caps, an acronym)
This is the group that actually runs the universe. They created and play the game. GOD. It stands for Grande Order of Deities. You might say, "That should be GOOD!" I'm sorry, GOD is not good. GOD is many members all seeking to manipulate this world to gain points.
MEGAGOD
MEGAGOD, or just MEGA, is the name which
was given to the Prophet JD Karlson. It was given to him by GOD because GOD is above all gods including God.
"You shall give birth to a religion and you shall name it MEGAGOD for it is over all gods and all peoples."
MEGANNITE - Follower of MEGA.
Pawns = Humans
Those who are being played. In game terms we are sophisticated NPCs (Non-Player Characters).
Players = GOD = MEGAGOD = MEGA
Those who are playing the game.
The Heavens - Location of the Players, wherever that might be.
Points
Players receive some kind of a reward when they accomplish something. Since we aren’t sure what those rewards are, we call them “points.”
Simulation Hypothesis = Simulation Theory = Computer Simulation
The theory that we live in a computer generated world.
Synchronicity
A term created by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung to describe events in life that appear to be linked in a meaningful way. Coincidences which appear to be more than just random.
